Webcasting, A Must Have
Webcasting, offered as a very 21st century amenity to tenants occupying flex space at 440 9th Avenue, is enjoying a tremendous popularity and is fast becoming a "must have" perk among the tenants the 66,000 s/f facility attracts.
eEmerge, a wholly-owned SL Green subsidiary which operates a portion of 440 Ninth Avenue devoted to offering flexible, short-term office space to companies looking for ready-to-use, technologically equipped premises, installed the webcasting capability ten months ago and now many tenants feel it is 'de rigueur.'
"We are the only short-term office facility in the City to provide webcasting capability, and at a fraction of the cost that most hotels charge," said Melissa Libner, Senior Managing Director at eEmerge. "It is an amnenity that distinguishes us among our competitors — hotels and others in the corporate suite marketplace. The service can be arranged for non-tenants of 440 9th as well. Webcasting, like the Internet, is growing in popularity because as a virtual communication tool, it's far less expensive and often much more practical logistically than holding live conferences, seminars, meetings in several different cities or countries simultaneously."
